The Black Keys' debut record is one of solid quality and nice instrumentation, but it just lacks that large amount of energy that is found on many of their later records and is so well-tied to the band today. The Black Keys' best record. They both sound dialed in, and there's the perfect amount of fuzz to complement the dusty blues vibe. It still sounds very same-y track to track but that's the Black Keys for you. This is the perfect album to pop in the garage stereo and work on your car.
