It's a bare bones compositional gambit that could wind up utterly irritating, but with the ears of a hip-hop cratedigger and the hands of a surgeon is bliss.
From Here We Go Sublime is brilliant in that it encapsulates many of the best ideas in the genre from at least the last 20 years. For this reason, it's an album that has the potential to transcend the obsessive nomenclature that seems to confine electronic artists and labels; a malaise that seems to affect electronic music in particular.
