It's a bare bones compositional gambit that could wind up utterly irritating, but with the ears of a hip-hop cratedigger and the hands of a surgeon is bliss.

No Ripcord

From Here We Go Sublime is brilliant in that it encapsulates many of the best ideas in the genre from at least the last 20 years. For this reason, it's an album that has the potential to transcend the obsessive nomenclature that seems to confine electronic artists and labels; a malaise that seems to affect electronic music in particular.

this record's always gonna remind me of what it felt like to have anything that truly mattered. the floating sensation that came with knowing I was getting out of this degree program I didn't want to be in soon enough and I would be able to be filled with love and warmth and just create exactly what I wanted. everything now gone forever. the fact I ever even felt this way is the only thing that calms me down before most recording sessions, really.
A techno project unafraid to spill out its emotions, claiming in bold lettering "life's actually good, y'know?" A fresh move in a genre tormented by darkness and subdued grooves, and an absolutely welcomed one.
Sublime all the way.
this album is fucking gorgeous
i feel like i just listened to the same song 10 times but i liked it overall
Willner’s debut is the pinnacle of dreamy, ethereal techno, with its looped samples and minimal beats creating a thoroughly intoxicating atmosphere.
