Riverside is new to me. I was astonished to learn the band is from Poland. Their album, ‘Love, Fear and the Time Machine’ is truly gorgeous. It’s got a Steven Wilson vibe to it, which, has me thinking it’s a bit derivative… And, it’s a bit thin in terms of the instrumentation used. Missing are bits of classical instruments such as cello, viola, etcetera. Some use of brass or reed instruments would have really stepped up the records overall sound. Which, in ... read more
