For all its psychedelic tendencies and marketing trappings, Goat's World Music feels as assured and unfussy as folk music.


Their home town might well be within the confines of Sweden, but their music exists in a universe without boundaries, where influences and ideas can be discovered and riffed upon with ease.

Drowned in Sound

A wonder through the traditional folk and more amplified sounds of the planet’s history, yet infused with enough of Goat’s own character to all glue together.

Immediatly when i put this record on i thought "sound like someone gave bedouin nomads electric guitars and a bunch of acid" and its awesome! Overall the feel is very middle eastern though i can't say for sure i suspect these fellas where influenced by the likes of Mahvishnu and Tanariwin.
Well i should say the rhythm is very middle eastern but the bass and lead guitars are something staright out of late 1960's psychadelia. All the songs have sparse lyrics with chants by the ... read more
Últimamente hay un montón de bandas suecas con una falta de pegada preocupante. ¿A quién se le ocurre hacer un disco pseudo africano con un triste djembé? Y la batería floja, floja... una pena, porque la idea es muy buena. La última canción es la que más se acerca a lo que prometen.
Just discovering Goat this year. These guys have really got "something" about them that I find really appealing. I think it's the vocal and rhythmic style that I'm connecting with. Hope we hear more from them soon.
