with one of her songs blowing up last year on tiktok to checking back into rehab, remi wolf has had one hell of a road to this debut album. and her life mirrors this album; crazy, unpredictable and down right uniquely her.

i discovered remi wolf in mid-late august this year from big man fantano as he was really digging the singles she was releasing. listening to quiet on set for the first time felt like a deep dive into wolf’s colorful brain. i can only describe the song as a huge acid ... read more

people might not have gotten this until now, but remi wolf is truly a trailblazer for young artists and might as well be the future of modern R&B. after two very solid EPs, remi has returned with every drop of her flavorful, crunchy production and her amazingly talented voice. i’ve gotten to the point on the album where i don’t really care about the songwriting, since everything else is so good once you take your mind off that. i’m so glad that this was such a home run for ... read more

1. Liquor Store - 8
[How high was she when she wrote this?]

2. Anthony Kiedis - 9
[Wow just such a fun track, quite a bumpy kind of song. It's quite weird style it's like recording pain experienced in a fun way lol. She also sounds a bit like Sia at times, not a bad comparison]

3. wyd - 7
["They want Escargot" Woman no one wants Escargot they are fibbing to you don't be jealous]

'Juno' is the result to loads of pop production experimentation. Remi Wolf as a brand new artist, is bringing the fresh sounds to the table, she's a hell of a creative singer/songwriter which is so interesting for the nowadays music industry. Coming from a glitch kinda aesthetic the music she makes reflects it's inspiration directly, it's in all places at the same but still has that cohesive flair that is essential, you can catch a lot of references in each track, her voice is as melodic as any ... read more

NO NUANCE REVIEW

Juno is incredible, one of a kind, beautiful, unique, fun as hell, extraordinary, absolutely infectious, and wonderful in every way. Such a good dog.

Oh, and this album is really good too.

Ever since Remi Wolf dropped 'I'm Allergic To Dogs!', I have been completely hooked to everything she's dropped. She is criminally underrated and I definitely think this type of sound is the future of pop music.

It's strange, it's like the spiritual successor to bedroom pop, it almost feels like it but the production is far too well done to be considered in that genre. Remi sings her absolute heart out on some of these tracks and it really shows, her passion is music and you can feel that as ... read more

Am I in a fever dream? Such a remarkable and refreshingly bright hypnogogic pop debut. Fantastically colourful with dynamic progressions, infectious grooves, stylistic sound design, and an array of electronic and acoustic instruments. There's also some great reflective lyricism on insecurities, healing and growth amongst the unruly fervour. I'm very pleased with this release. Thank you Remi for this slice of queer sunshine.

Juno is one of those albums that you put on, hear a second of it, and immediately move and sing along. The production is so infectious. It feels so unique to Remi. And the vocal delivery is so pronounced that you'll want to sing it too. The lyrics are quite silly and enjoyable too. Not two tracks in this album sounds the same, but still maintains to be cohesive. There are few tracks that I don't fully enjoy but even those are not bad at all. I hear something I don't fully like and it will ... read more

FAVORITE TRACK: Liquor Store

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Sally

Remi Wolf’s debut LP is one of the most colorful and fun releases of the year. Wolf’s cartoonish and jumpy instrumentals used on tracks Liquor Store, Grumpy Old Man and Street You Live On help set her apart from other artists coming out of this tiktok-short-song saturation in pop music. Wolf also diversifies her music at times when she combines some r&b elements to her music like on Buttermilk and Sexy Villain.

It sounds like the R&B version of M.I.A. haha

Juno's sound is very creative and full of fun ideas.
In particular, Sexy Villain has the best balance and melody line among them.
If there is one disappointment, (It is not clear whether it is because of the not very special vocal or most songs have a similar mood.)
it sounds a little similar overall, but it can be an advantage in that it has sound consistency.
Anyway, Remi Wolf is one of the most notable new artists of the year and has fully ... read more

Bursting with personality, catchy hooks, and bright instrumentals, this impressive debut record is so wildly charismatic. This project is hectic, it's hilarious, and nothing to sleep on.

"Orgy at Five Guys with five guys (Yep)
That's ten guys and holy christ (Yep)
I've never seen more nuts in my life"

Wow.

One of my most highly anticipated albums of the year - and it did not disappoint.

Feeling kinda shit after listening to the new Coldplay album? Look no further! Stream JUNO by Remi Wolf!

Taking a comparatively chill turn from the last EP, Remi Wolf’s “Juno” is a funky, bizarre, utterly wondrous musical experience. Boasting colorful hooks, grooving instrumentation, and utterly infectious vibes, this album manages to satisfy those craving Remi’s danceable waves of energy while feeling considerably more relaxed than “I’m Allergic to Dogs”. I have to admit, I do miss the blistering bursts of color that EP provided (I don’t know if ... read more

EDIT: 5 songs are the ones that I have liked more and more. "Anthony Kiedls", "wdy", "Sally", "Sexy Villain" and "Buzz Me In".

Last year I was somewhat impressed with her EP I’m Allergic To Dogs! And especially with "Hello Hello Hello". Finally she gives us her first album.

Juno is a fair to good debut, you have interesting glimpses like fairly mediocre or half-done songs and the occasional garbage. This is another album that I ... read more

I feel like this is just less versatile than I'm Allergic To Dogs!. Every song on that EP is instantly catchy and memorable, but on Juno, a lot of the songs feel uninspired or just have aspects that I just don't enjoy. The first time I listened to I'm Allergic To Dogs!, I smiled and felt like dancing the entire time. While that still happened occasionally here, it definitely felt fewer and farther between. A lot of the songs feel like they're building to an explosive chorus, which I guess they ... read more

This is my third time trying to get into a Remi Wolf project and I literally cant. This isn't bad, and there is talent on display here but it's seriously not clicking. I feel like I can't give this album anything higher than a 7 because while I can respect her craft, it only goes so far when I am bored to death halfway through your project.

The production feels so uninspired for the most part, almost every idea on this project has already been done near to death by everyone else in the ... read more
