after a LOT of listens i am convinced this is probably the best album ever crafted. i can't say much about it without completely spoiling it, but it's great.

All time classic from brazilian music, its crazy it took me so many years to give this a full listen, always listened to some songs randomly. Milton is a national treasure.

ever since the 2014 world cup, i have been fully fascinated with brazilian culture and this is a prime example of why. one of the best structured albums ever: it feels like a soundtrack for the favelas, much like how "city of god", a film by fernando meirelles and kátia lund portrays the slums of brazil in the most intriguing way. it feels warm, uplifting, powerful, as if its tonho and cacau's (the children in the album cover) journey simply experiencing life in belo horizonte, ... read more
