I stumbled across the "singles" for this collaboration is between an artist and a group that I am not familiar with whatsoever, and I am glad that I did. It's just a fantastic composition that seems to carry so many influences and particularly drawing from pan-african/afro-diasporic themes in it's use of percussion and melodic approach beyond the standard jazz base. Lovely, cinematic lounge jazz that warms the soul and calms the mind. Nothing groundbreaking, but an undeniably pleasant listen.
