The 405

For My Parents isn't just a return to form, it's one of the essential albums of the year.

Drowned in Sound

The band has progressed to a point where their work sounds unique, and now they'll continue to painstakingly develop every aspect of that work with each release.

Mono has evolved considerably over the last few years, and with this album, they've taken a step towards becoming something much more than a simple Post-Rock band.

54
Pitchfork

Too mushy and indistinguishable to wallop you in the gut and too cheesy to be taken seriously, the album feels, at its worst, like a series of power ballads with the choruses ripped out.
