he seems very influenced by playboi carti but adapts it to his own style, pretty amazing

Another gorgeous Kyhal project by one of the most magnetic forces in the genre.
A longing, hypnotic lamentations for Pakistan sky.
It's... ok, beautiful at points, and tedious in others. I think that this could've used more instrumental variation, but it consistently makes me uneasy while being strangely beautiful, and changing the instrumentals could've also easily ruin the aesthetic Ustad creates. Ustad's singing on this thing isn't really singing, he's not saying anything and rather using his voice as an actual instrument.

I love how he uses his voice on here. He's got such a pleasant tone and resonance. It's all so meditative and soothing. The endless repetition and minimalism puts you in a trance and then rewards your patience by introducing tablas which are VERY effective and well emphasised. Then the second track doesn't waste anytime and goes straight into it. Very cohesive and effective release.
