It's not a fully formed idea of a project like Barter 6, but that's why it's so much better.

If you're new to Young Thug, don't start with Slime Season. An odds-and-ends compilation with no coherent vision, the tape finds Thug rapping at a high level, but performing less consistently as a songwriter.

Consequence of Sound
His work is constantly rooted in improvisation, an inherently thrilling concept that’s embedded itself in black music.

This is just a fun mixtape, but with little direction or concept in mind. Of all the Slime Season (as of today anyway) trilogy tapes, this is perhaps the most directionless. It's not the best representation of what Thug has put out. If you need extra Thug material, then look no further, otherwise, look elsewhere.

Had half these songs not been leaked early, it would have shook the world. Yet this spastic, random collection of Thug songs is the essence of Young Thug, a great adventure through the pure unfiltered consciousness of the most interesting character in rap.
Also the high quality .wav version is immaculate. The guitar on the second half of the alt version of Freaky is beautiful in a twisted way. I love it.
