Geeking out so much now that I have found ANOTHER jazz album of this year. This one is a mix of nu jazz and ambient to create an atmosphere that is peaceful and calming. Every time I want to go to sleep, I would put this on to clear my mind and lose myself into the land of dreams. I am unfamiliar with Nala's work but what I have just heard from her is very impressive.
I don’t know much about Caribbean-Belgian composer, producer and musician Nala Sinephro, but I do know she lives in London and is contributing to the ever growing jazz movement happening there at the moment. There is a re-emerging trend among jazz musicians to create music intended for healing. It's an ancient jazz tradition, and one to which jazz is uniquely suited. Space 8 is 10/10 song, was wary of it's length time but honestly wish the whole album was like it, so soothing. Very good album
