I actually really like this album

Music nerd community be ok with other opinions challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
1d
Why do so many people on this site think the user score is always an indirect response to one outside factor or another? Is it truly so impossible for a score to simply be the numerical representation of one's genuine opinion of the music itself?
1d
yass lets tag it both overrated and overhated :heart eyes emoji:
1d
British!?!? 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮
1d
the chorus' are lowkey responsible for ruining every song on this record
1d
its ok but these guys are giving industry plant vibes
2d
The comment box here is surprisingly a lot more chaotic than on the rym comment box for this album.
2d
Jesus Christ aoty is hating way too much on this album. I thought it was really good.
3d
I don't know whats more sus, a critic score as high as 84, or a user score as low as 67. this is pretty good but nothing special
3d
probably i am way too harsh of worst album of the year, but still the album is still very unbearable to many different levels
and some users blocked me because i am being too vocal and judgemental about being honest of my opinion
3d
I can’t wait for the sophomore album by Black Country, New Road, “Ants From Up There” coming out on February 4th, 2022.
3d
So yall excited for bncr
3d
i see more comments hating that everybody is calling it overrated than people calling it overrated
3d
i see more comments with people talking about how the critic score is resulting in an apparent bias than comments about how the critic score is grossly inflated
3d
the weird thing about this site is that they will be quick to hate on an album with high praise from critics unless it's melon or pitchfork
3d
People acting like a critic score of 84 is way too high of praise need too calm down lol. Thats pretty average for a good album and is in no way an "overhyped" score
3d
a band gets some positive reviews that average to an 84 critic score, and yall RUSH to call it overrated and the next for those I love/prioritise pleasure/whatever else
4d
Some people overhating this album for shallow reasons like c'mon it's not great but it's not THAT bad.
4d
he did it for the little boys and girls
4d
"We hope the rest of 2022’s musical output is as good as this album." sorry but 2022 is shaping up to be a good year for music /s
4d
boring
4d
post-punk
4d
If you’re unironically saying “fake woke” in the comments section of a post-punk album on albumoftheyear.org you 1000% need to go outside and touch some grass
4d
The most "we live in a society" album since Roger Waters' last solo effort
4d
The Overhated
4d
major label commodification of dissent.
4d
Hey, this sounds great not amazing or spectacular but it lives to the top level of what it is... The guitar hooks give me Arctic Monkeys vibe which I love to listen more and more... Comments seems like overhating this one... And why Squid comparisons? Both are in opposite poles imo
4d
The world's most British band
4d
This sounds NOTHING like Squid
4d
The Overrated.
4d
I've seen multiple Squid comparisons for this, but I don't see it it all. This isn't nearly that sonically ambitious. It's more like a watered down fusion of shame, Dry Cleaning, and IDLES. It's not bad, but it doesn't standout all that much in the sea of the British Post scene rn. The Overload is a slapper though, as is Dark Days that didn't make the album.
4d
white postpunk bands dont write fake woke lyrics for clout challenge (very hard)
4d
there is nothing special about this
4d
Guys look I made hating this Post-Punk album my entire personality because fuck critics amirite?
God people like this are so miserable.
4d
Good, not amazing but really good stuff
5d
worst album of the year contender
5d
Wow, this is amazing!
5d
Was definitely expecting more "dime a dozen" post punk, but I'm pleasantly surprised. Still think it's not going to be for everyone.
5d
Out in a few hours, fingers crossed this hasn’t been overhyped
5d
post-punk moment
5d
Here comes the over-praised post-punk album of every year...
5d
Are we gonna have another great year for post punk?
6d
THIS WILL FUCKING SUCK MARK MY WORDS
6d
i have no idea if this is gonna be actually good or another one of those Prioritize Pleasure and For Those I Love type albums that gets praised by critics despite not being that good, so i'm intrigued
6d
seems like publications are hyping this up more than users are

i mean i like it but idk it feels weird
6d
I’m skeptical because of the high critic scores I won’t lie, but hear’s hoping it’s goof
1w
Words cannot describe how exited I am for this, the dark days EP is excellent and every single for this album has been above an 8/10 for me
1w
I like all the singles a lot, but I can’t help but feeling that Land of the Blind is just next level compared to the other 4.
1w
Imagine giving it a low score bc it's the best album of the year for now for critics lmfao y'all babies.
1w
I get no bitches-core
1w
I can see the hype machine slowing to a halt if the rest of the album is anything like "Rich"
1w
2022's answer to Squid- Bright Green Field
1w
I’m actually really excited for this one, def could be one of the better records of 2022
1w
