Opeth continue to slowly improve themselves with every release, and with Blackwater Park we see what many consider to be their peak performance. Whether it is or not, I'll have to see, but so far in their discography, this is definitely their best.

Perfect! One of the best records ever released.
One of metal's greatest albums of all time.

Best song : The whole album

Everything about this album is melancholic, dark, hypnotic and beautifully eerie. Its success only goes to show how impeccable a band Opeth truly is, through the genius lead of Mikael Akerfeldt, a bloody genius and gift to music, as are all the band though, ultimately.
