I'm not the biggest fan of GZA's delivery, especially when he's not screaming his brains out, but the imagery he paints with some of his verses are so cold and compelling and add so much to the eerie atmosphere RZA's production establishes.

The second half of the project picks up, the tension sharpens, so does GZA's energy, so does his pengame, so does RZA's eclectic production. He plays off of his feautures really well and we get some of the best moments in Wu-Tang history, ... read more
I Can't believe that I listened to this album 24 years after it was released
Whenever i listen to this i think I imagine this being a comic book so this is the closest of rap playing like a comic book.....Hmmmm

Jesus fucking christ, what a powerhouse! This album got everything a boom bap album from the 90s needs. Amazing production and actually very refreshing for that time (RZA is a god), lyricism out of this world, great skits and of course great features! But more than that what truly makes this album so unique even today was how GZA was able to create such a perfect comic book atmosphere for this album. Liquid Swords almost has the feel of a movie.
