Von Pea has had quite a few excellent, jazzy instrumental projects and collaborative efforts in recent years. E LU CI D and Von Pea apparently recorded this in 2011 and it hasnt been released until now. You can see why, it's very rudimentary for both artists, but if you appreciate either's early work, it's an essential listen.
So this is a project that has stayed unreleased for 10 years. Elucid said that him and Von Pea thought this was the perfect time to release it. I don’t really think this is essential listening in his discography though. He’s worked with better production in the past years, and gotten lyrically better. I still like it, but it doesn’t come close to his latest releases.
