Metronomy know how to make funky bass lines to make me want to groove, but there isn’t a huge lot else that’s going for this ep. Features I’m glad to see (sorry, biig piig, folly) but seem underwhelming and under-utilised.
Saying that, the tunes still feel and sound good, just not the best
Fucking hell, this is bad. It’s like “Humanz” but somehow worse. Who are these no-talent cretins? Why do the Joseph Mount musical accompaniments sound so uninspired? And why, when the EP touches on excellence, are the reigns then handed over to a guest ‘artist’? Dire.
