I’m honestly a little upset this took me so long to get to, jeez.

Milo, easily one of the more unique hip hop artists today. I hadn’t heard any of his work but I could mostly tell based on who he’d worked with prior to and on this record that he was definitely in the abstract, oddball group in underground hip-hop. He’s also one of my favourite lyricists because of just how smooth he is with constant literary references, witty complements to himself, and pretty gripping ... read more
milo had some great verses on this LP, but the production was off the charts. it had a relaxed jazz sound and allowed the raps to really stand out. there was a deep meaning behind his lyrics and they had a relevant theme to the issues of today.
fav tracks: souvenir, an encyclopedia, yomilo
My favorite album of all time is A Badly Broken Code by Dessa. That album is a Hip Hop or a Rap project and this album is better than that. This might be a controversial opinion but I fully believe this. SO THE FLIES DON'T COME IS THE BEST HIP HOP ALBUM OF ALL TIME.

I don't count Rabblerouse as a normal track. I would say that its more of an intro. So with that out of the way, These 9 songs are all 10/10 Incredible Masterpieces. Kenny Segal is a FUCKING GENIUS. Going No Place's Beat is ... read more
Milo presents us here with a great album, some really good abstract jazzy production with some good soulful samples as well that are the standout through the record.

The lyricism it's not that good even tho Milo spits some decent bars here and there, and let's not talk about cringy (kind of racist) lines there's a lot of those.

Overall a very enjoyable listen with songs like souvenir that will probably stay in my rotation for a while.

When this first came out, I was a bit confused as to why everyone was calling Milo a pretentious, borderline racist, rapper. I didn't see it, and I loved the feel of this album. Well after almost a year of listening to it, I can see what people meant. Milo sounds obnoxiously proud of himself for looking up high school book reading lists and announcing their existence in his raps, and then fails to even show their importance in what he's talking about. In other words, Milo ... read more
