Dark and at times beautiful, Part II is an excellent conclusion to this ambitious and sprawling project.
When Duzsik and company finish DISCO4 :: Pt. II with the surging solo track "These Days 2.0.2.1.," they complete an impressive project that brings illuminating new perspectives to their music -- and perhaps some more artists to their listeners' attention.
Each entry is a dark pop masterclass, armed with hooks gigantic enough to catch a great white shark.
In so many ways, HEALTH feel just as vital as they ever did.
Their ability to balance bellicose clamour with progressive musicality is unmatched, and DISCO4 :: PARTII paves the way for fledgling artists to embrace and utilise the talents of their peers to broaden their sonic palette, and seek innovation at every turn.
It’s 2022 and all bets are off but with HEALTH and their band of collaborators in control with this series of deadly tracks, the future of forward thinking music is definitely in good hands.
Whilst at times DISCO::4 Part II might feel morbid, its urgent, vital sounds provide a much needed antidote to the anxieties of the world we currently live in.
Not so much a disco as an apocalyptic circle pit, PART II veers heavily into the eviscerating noise that HEALTH do so well.
The top tracks stand head-and-shoulders above the rest and nearly justify all of DISCO 4:: PART II. But who knows, this may just be another stepping point for HEALTH to build off of for their next full length.
HEALTH are quickly becoming one of the most intriguing and respected acts around, and while DISCO4:: PART II isn't perfect, it's definitely worth your time.
DISCO 4: PART 2!
It’s basically more of the same, if you liked part 1 then you are gonna like part 2! This time with a mostly different cast of artists as features, we dwell back into this dark and atmospheric industrial monument, filled with loud bangs, powerful rhythms, and even some softer Melodies sprinkled in between.
I find Part 2 much less consistent in terms of quality in comparison to part 1. I don’t find myself enjoying 100% of the tracks as I did with this album’s ... read more

While these collab projects still don’t feel like a cohesive body of work, I think they’ve lead to some of Health’s individual songs in a while. This project especially features many great high point song wise and are a great spotlight not only on Health as a band but some of the most exciting acts in experimental, heavy, and industrial music. It probably won’t be the best full length listen you hear this year, but if you give it a listen you’ll ... read more
Once again, Health is back with a new installment in this series and it is as expected heavy on the features. As much as I love the production Health has been giving us on these recent projects, the song quality is often dependent on the features. I find the production once again masks up a few songs that would otherwise be stale. Nine Inch Nails, Poppy, Maenad Veyl, and Ekkstacy did fantastic on their features where as Lamb of God completely ruined the vibe. The production throughout ties it ... read more
I feel like they took what they did well on Part I, kept that quality and energy, and then improved heavily on the things that didn't work as well on it. Overall, amazing.
