Silent Planet is like the Christopher Nolan of metalcore. Intelligently written, emotional, and executed with a cinematic scope that paddles a deeper meaning than mere surface-level aesthetics. But like Nolan's films, it's all a little too on the nose to be effectively impacting.
Silent planet have provided us with another tremendous lp, this time more grandiose and electronic influences. We hear this in the production, totally distorting the drums and bass making it sound not too dissimilar from a noise punk lp at times.

First half of the album is great, has the energy I wanted to hear. Feeling a bit mixed about the second half though. I liked Anhedonia, but was not a fan of a track like Terminal with the full on shoegaze, and the extremely overproduced vocals. Anyway still a pretty fun metalcore album overall.
Edit: Bumped up the score a bit, it grew on me, including the songs I didn't really enjoy first time.

It's really good but some of these songs are sleepers and it could've done more to make the tracks different and more memorable.
