It’s not a perfect album, and it won’t please every fan, but Manic represents a new step forward and when it hits home it absolutely slays.
When Wage War puts all the pieces together and they make purely heavy songs, it's gold. Other songs are unfortunately only remnants of this idea. And finally, there's an acoustic track that is very out of place. Otherwise, this is a solid album this year.
The songwriting isn't great, the production is a little underwhelming, and just the whole style of Metalcore done like this, I don't really like it. A lot of these riffs sound super uninspired and boring. Don't think it's bad by any means and def has some cool moments, but overly not for me.

The clean production, autotuned clean vocals, and electronic elements were a turn-off for me on first listen, and this album does fall victim to metalcore clichés. But, the album grew on me with repeated listens. Songs like Relapse, Manic, High Horse, and Death Roll go so hard. The song Manic is the one that I didn't like at first but grew on me later.
