It's dense with detail, but leisurely paced, creating its own dark, haunting world. Pink Floyd may have better albums than Dark Side of the Moon, but no other record defines them quite as well as this one

The music that comprises The Dark Side Of The Moon are compositions that simply describing by mere words do them no justice. It's an album that must be heard by any admirer of not just Progressive rock, but music in general.

"The Dark Side of the Moon" ... transformed Pink Floyd from ambitious art-house hipsters to international superstars, while influencing virtually every rock band of the past forty years.

The Dark Side of the Moon is a fine album with a textural and conceptual richness that not only invites, but demands involvement.

The first thing I immediately did was rating some albums I recently listened to or albums I already knew really well. Back then I was still a pretty rock and metal fan, although not as much as I ... read more

[UPDATE]: My issues with the repetitive motifs are not really a thing anymore, with more listens I've began to appreciate how these motifs build into the concept and the other tracks, and it honestly impresses with me now with how well crafted and dense it comes off as. I guess I'm still not big on Brain Damage and Eclipse being the same song and On The Run gets no replay value from me.

'The Dark Side of the Moon', an album that's often considered one of the best albums from Pink Floyd and an ... read more
