One of the greatest LP's of all time! relaxing jazz-maden and electronic sounds that remind us that those days were the best in rock history!

I think I have "Brain Damage" from listening to this work of art so many times ;)

The singular greatest rock album ever produced. One listen and I never turned back from this wonderful land of music. Pushes the limits of popular sound and provides just enough experimentation to soften the listen to harsher experiences in the future.

Picture the white beam of light as you. The pyramid is the time you spend listening to the album. The rainbow is you afterwards. You are an enlightened being

No room for improvement. Every second on this album is thoroughly enjoyable. This is a project I will always come back to. A true classic.

I've had various versions of this perennial favorite. Heck. Right now I have three versions of the studio release of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon alone. The original CD version, the 30th Anniversary hybrid SACD and, this, the new 2011 remaster. Although I have yet to hear the MFSL rendition, to me this is the best thing effort to date for a DSotM CD.

For one thing, thankfully, they didn't compress the music. It's appears to be level match fairly well with the other Dark Side CDs I have. ... read more

I honestly can't give this album any critique. I wish that I could see the chemistry of building this album from the beginning because the album speaks to me in so many ways. Magic

Pink Floyd takes a slower, melodic approach on Dark Side of the Moon, with soft vocals over dark instrumentals continuously woven together into one LP. It's truly ahead of its time, defining psychedelic/progressive rock of the 60's/70's.

Consistent with the artistic spark that ignited musicians, Pink Floyd [finally] broke free of the Jam Band strangle hold prevalent the worldwide. With the 'The Dark Side...' the band expands its artistic persona utilizing the studio to masterful effect. This LP remains an undeniable Progressive Rock classic. The global mainstream embraced it to such a high level of popularity it remains a truly laughable memory for in my 'coming of age' stage of life. To think the "Jocks" and ... read more

What is there to say that hasn't been said about Dark Side of the Goddamn Moon? It's a classic, in not only prog-rock, but it helped pioneer pretty much every genre known to man, creating one of the most unique listening experiences...possibly ever. Essential listening.

Favorite Jams: Us And Them, The Great Gig in The Sky, Brain Damage

Beautiful in all aspects, it's like Pink Floyd builded an entire dynamic universe using their music. Hard to put this on words, sometimes albums can't be described but felt.

Pink Floyd are legends, and listening to this album is probably one of the best ideas a person can have, it reminds us of what Rock used to be and what is now, it reminds us that we mainly listen to albums and not just songs, it reminds us that every album tells a story, not just single songs on their own, but that their all connected, overall the album is amazing. 100/100

The. Best. Album. Of. All. Time.

Seriously, this is my favorite album. All songs are just so clever and well written, and most importantly, extremely relevant to this day. The album addresses common problems in life in such an amazing way, it's just insane. I understand many people find this album overrated, but it's not. The people who say this are just those that hate everything that's been mainstream for a too long of a time. Incredible album.

Overplayed doesn't mean overrated.
I would say this is their more accomplished work. It is paced extremely well, flows like an unninterrupted experience but each song still shines own its own merits, incorporates different instrumental elements with expert precision to craft diverse moods while staying centered in the overall theme of ephemerality and mortality.

GO LISTEN TO: Us and Them.

This will forever be one of my favorite albums. Each track flows amazingly into the next and the production is just eargasm inducing. I love this album. Truly tied with Wish You Were Here as their best album in my honest opinion. I feel like this album must be listened to front to end without skips. There is truly no track on here that I dislike.

BY GOD THIS IS VERY GOOD. The album that marked a before and after in the career of Pink Floyd, I could hear more than a thousand times and I would not get tired of the melodies that go through each song and each moment. Experimentation is what he earns on this record and despite the fact that at the first moment I heard it, music became rare, and finally I understood the concept and the album in general. 10000% recommended, I know some may not like this music but ... read more

There's a reason why a cliché becomes a cliché. Pink Floyd's seminal album The Dark Side Of The Moon is to rock what Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue is to jazz - perhaps not a perennial hipster favorite or crowd pleasure, but inexorably embedded into the DNA of all rock music to follow, joining hands with the likes of Radiohead's OK Computer and The Velvet Underground's The Velvet Underground and Nico. It's rich sonic textures and moody atmosphere well compliment the introspective (if a ... read more

It is pretty cliche, even perceived laziness to hail this as an amazing album, but why would it be called anything else? Probably my favourite album of all time, I listen to this thing at leat once or twice a month. Beautiful from back to front, the album encapsulates everything that makes Pink Floyd's music so brilliant, transcending progressive rock into a universal odyssey of sound and genius. For me, it strikes the perfect balance between experimental ambition and grounded accessibility, ... read more

Sonically and conceptually, "The Dark Side of the Moon" is one of the greatest albums ever made. Everything about this album is detailed, rich, haunting, beautiful, fuck it! Every adjective! I want to go more into detail about this album, but that would spoil too much!

[Edit: I removed a point because, while I still see why this is regarded as one of the best albums ever made, it’s not one of my personal favorites. Still, I feel the same way about this album. Plz don’t ... read more
