I have been meaning to listen to this for many months now, but just haven't gotten around to it. Daydream Nation is not one of my favorite albums, and to put it bluntly, I think there are many, many albums that are better than it. Sonic Youth's style of rock is not exactly what I look for, but something I can definitely appreciate and listen to all the way through, and have a good time.

I'll be honest: every listen to this album makes me dislike it more. It's far too long and it doesn't really hold up after multiple listens. It becomes incredibly tepid to me and it feels like an eternity is passing by whenever I listen to it. Maybe one day this will click with me again, but that's just how I really feel about this LP.

There's something about Daydream Nation that is, in fact, very much like a daydream, one that causes you to introspectively look into the experiences that define each of us as individuals.
