Imagine being in 1984, mid 80s, and your mind cames up with an idea: "Hey, let's do a classic 70s punk rock album!"
Uuuugh why, just fucking why. Let It Be goes less hardcore and a little more pop to ultimately get into alternative rock and while not everything works equally as well, the sound is there and they do it great.
Let It Be is a decent album but punk is just not really my style of music.
