If Born to Die was the script-defined character, then Paradise shows the darker routes through reality once the director yells “cut”.
Paradise is best enjoyed as a follow-up EP of b-sides and bonus material, equally poignant as its main predecessor, but a separate project altogether.
a lot of people keep discrediting Lana’s and this albums impact when it’s the reason a lot of todays artists exist, this was the album that got me into discovering new music and listening to albums in full, there’s not a single weak link on the record however the last four tracks of the first part aren’t as good as the other tracks

Born to Die and the Paradise EP for me are pop bibles, the production is so interesting and fun, it's hard to put out a project with 20+ songs and make it sound good and lana nailed it.

I tried to listen to this reissue (The Paradise Edition) on three separate occasions, and I managed to fall asleep while listening to it every single time. I’m not trying to say the reissue is terrible because it made me fall asleep. I think it was okay. I was just very sleepy every time I tried to listen to it and give this reissue the benefit of the doubt. I wanted to ensure I gave a fair review and not half-arse sleeping through it.
