The first Documentary was actually an action movie; a genre in which entertainment often trumps substance. Its sequel can’t re-create the same big explosions, but it cogently proves why its anti-hero has managed to stay alive, 10 years later.

AllMusic

Considered the second half of the Game's double-disc sequel to 2000's The Documentary, this ".5" release is not an appendix or set of extras, but a fully formed album that's also a thrilling return to form.

Yes, Mr. Taylor may have made it out of the hood with hard work and talent but, these 36 tracks have added to an often overlooked and at times incomparable discography filled to the brim with strong offerings.

The Needle Drop

The second installment of the Game's sequel to 2005's The Documentary turns out more focused and emotive than its predecessor.
