Pray For Me I Don’t Fit In amplifies the in-yer-faceness of their music and rampages out of the speakers like a wild beast.
In its best moments, the fourth album by Melt Yourself Down stirs up a gloriously manic chaos, like several wild raves raging all at once as pirate radio blasts from the window of a circling taxi.
This fascinating band once seemed almost too eclectic – but now strong melodies and hooks drive an album that feels entirely of the moment.
Oh my god, these guys have stepped up! The punk and rock aspects are fairly standard but the bass sax and electronics really push this lp to a great level. So groovy and just forces your body to move.
The bass sax is another level of gorgeous. Something not really seen in the scene, it is so guttural and earthy but still manages to scrape every essence of dancibility to it.
This is myd’s opus, so many different sounds come together to create something completely new, I love
One of the more unique punk records to come out of the U.K. this decade. Just completely off the wall and unhinged fusion of jazz, afro beat, and the danciest sides of rock. Give me more shit that sounds like it came straight out of David Byrne’s record collection please.
