Edit (90 → 86): Grew off me a bit after repeated listens :/
Probably not as good I originally made it out to be (some of the melodies wear a bit thin, I like the mixing but agree that it could be improved in at least a couple areas), still a personal favorite from this year though.
It’s been a while since I’ve been completely blown off guard by how good an album is. If you’re into anything pop-punk/shoegaze I cannot recommend checking this out enough.

There are many tracks on here that I’d enjoy way more if the mixing wasn’t so horrendously crunchy. Some of these tracks are literally impossible to listen to thanks to how loud some of the synths are in comparison to the other instruments in the mix. I’m not one to complain about mixing, but it’s so bad on this album that it’s hard NOT to bring it up.

Well, here it is.

I've been looking forward for more stuff from Rome for a while, I'm a big fan of his 2020 singles and his 2 EPs are pretty nice.

What I didn't know is that this album marks the new sound for Rome. And the changes are quite the margin.
