The title of the album is a little misleading. The expectation going in was to hear more Spanish vibes or a flamenco feel. Beyond the title track and a bit of inflection on Streets of Bakersfield it plays out as a traditional country album. Beyond the strong intro track that speaks of being broke and in love the other themes throughout surround heartbreak and death. The closing track sums it all up nicely after an album of plight to hold your faith in god.
