What Marchita has in concision it also has in beauty and emotional potency.

This album makes use of her entire musical background, including indie pop, classical, jazz, and Latin American folk traditions.

This Mexican artist's debut is gorgeously understated, guided by her gauzy voice and rich, acoustic arrangements. Tapping into the vastness of Mexican music, she thrills in simplicity.

God, if I ever need music to acompany my heartbreak again, I'm gonna have this on repeat. Her voice, the composition and the beautiful lyrics just create such a strong atmosphere and make this album one of a kind. To be honest tho, if you don't understand you might find this project lacking, so get out your phone and start grinding on Duolingo

This is the first album I've listened to by Mexican singer-songwriter Silvana Estrada, and I'm more than blown away by it. Marchita is such an emotionally potent record, anchored by Estrada's mesmerising vocals, whimsical melodies, captivating lyrics and gorgeously rich instrumentation.
