DARK FUNERAL's seventh full-length album hits the infernal nail firmly on the head and these are some of the best songs they have ever recorded. A simple thrill, but a giant, shudder-inducing thrill nonetheless.

I saw some people complaining about this being the #1 album of the year by critics earlier this year, but I feel like the critics having this as the highest rated black metal album of all time is a bigger problem, as Dark Funeral haven't done anything to change up their sound. They've been in the game for 30 years and are starting to turn into the AC DC of BM. What's even more funny is that this isn't even the best Dark Funeral album lol. Dark Funeral are not a band I typically hype. However, with this new release they are blending sounds of black and roll a la Tribulation and the results are a resounding success. Dare I say these songs are downright catchy for black metal, with the dynamic shifts showing a band well acquainted with their style but willing to add just enough spice to get a stew going. This was really boring I found myself zoning out at multiple times and it all just kinda blended together
