Torch of the Mystics is Sun City Girls’ best-loved album. It's replete with moments of hypnotic tunefulness stretched into songs that feel as classic and well-worn as the dusty cassettes the band uncovered on their travels around the globe.
this is absolutely insane, and so therefore, i absolutely love it.
fave tracks: blue mamba; tarmac 23; esoterica of abyssinia; space prophet dogon; the flower; cafe batik; papa legba; the vinegar stroke; burial in the sky
