Kerrang!
When the revolution comes, Bob Vylan will be leading the charge, and they’ll adding bodies to Maggie’s grave.

Distorted Sound

If We Live Here was BOB VYLAN’s arrival, The Price Of Life is their main character moment, embracing their roles as revolutionary figures. Protest punk has been around since time immemorial, but it’s never sounded so good.

90
Gigwise
The London-based grime-punk duo understands the reality of being Black and/or poor in Britain, conceptualising current social issues into a scathing, obnoxious, and unapologetic LP.
90
DIY

One of the year’s most essential records yet.

90
Louder Than War
A crunching end to a startling album that some might say is too short, yet if you link into the lyrics there’s enough in there to keep you waiting for the next angry installment, from the duo that deliver just what you need to hear at this moment in our corrupt times.
90
Clash
‘Bob Vylan Presents The Price Of Life’ is a post-mortem of ‘Great’ Britain. It’s exactly what punk should be, tearing apart the disillusionment of the masses and forcing you to acknowledge just how broken society is.
80
Classic Rock

The Price Of Life sees Britain’s social ills slammed in your face by London’s visceral grime-punk duo Bob Vylan.

80
Dork

Where so many can feel like they’re reading out the battle lines drawn in the right broadsheet, ‘The Price Of Life’ has done the hard miles – and it shows in the best possible way.

80
Mojo
Hugely entertaining state-of-the-nation address from grime-punk folk devils.
80
The Line of Best Fit

The Price of Life’s relentless delivery of its agenda is a tiring but invigorating shot in the arm.

80
NME

The London duo's alt-rock tracks about inequality will speak to a wider audience than their previous album did, but they also never soften their edges.

80
The Telegraph

Bob Vylan aren’t concerned with keeping people they don’t like happy. Actually, they admit they’re spoiling for a fight with them. It makes …The Price Of Life as provocative as Rage Against The Machine, and as sonically exciting as The Prodigy: this is one of the most incendiary British records of 2022.

70
Loud and Quiet
It’s an album for the people, written by the people who have always had the short straw.

The Guardian

If you’re willing to meet Bob Vylan on their rough-and-ready terms, The Price of Life offers a decent return on investment.

While I wasn’t blown away by this record, what’s being said is important and fairly essential! Using catchy heavy riffs, they force feed you the power to join the Revolution against Tory scum and bigoted wealthy oppressors. Great stuff
