I loved this album. Even though it's only 24 minutes, it's packed with fresh and exciting ideas, fantastic wordplay, a whole new emotional palette, and aesthetic meshing that makes most new rap records feel dusty and old in comparison. The way Earl has implemented trap and pop rap aesthetics and flourishes into his sound is ridiculously cool- I kinda lost my shit when the claps started playing on the title track. IDK, listening to DS4EVER by Gunna and then switching to this really puts it into ... read more
Some Abstrap songs.
Can’t go outside, can’t go outside cause nibbas sick!
Damn Earl. Wow. These two weeks have been great for music. Thank you Earl.
Just when I was loosing hope for hip hop, then comes Mr. Sweatshirt. At times its like he’s speaking In codes, rapping exclusively In metaphors and poetry, he’s quickly become one of the most complex rappers overnight and we just rolled with it like nothing happened, but he’s taking It to another level now. ... read more
Earl’s project SICK! Is a little short.
I see that it’s more of a reflection of how Earl has been surviving through the pandemic.
He brings in some trap music influence over some of the songs, but you’ll see some returning SRS type production too.
It's not half of the year and we can say that we have the album of the year with great lyrics and good trap beats with some rap songs vibe
decent 9
This beat selection is immaculate
Favorite Songs: Old Friend, 2010, Sick!, Vision, Lye, Lobby, Titanic, Fire in the Hole

Wow. This project is amazing. Short tracks make the album feel at a nice and fast pace, while the longer tracks provide great vibes in the middle of the short tracks. Earl's lyrics are heartfelt, deep and reflective. The production from Black Noi$e is beautiful, unique with a blend of SRS and trap music, with the other tracks with different producers being just equally as great.
Me emociona ver qué dirección va a tomar Earl después
Earl Sweatshirt is my favorite rapper. He might not be my favorite Hip Hop artist ever, but definitely my favorite in terms pure rapping and lyricism. In 2018, Earl/Thebe released "Some Rap Songs", which has become something that I consider my favorite Hip Hop album and one of my top 10 favorite albums ever.
So I was a little skeptic before going into this record. How was Earl gonna top his last album? I was actually one of the few people that also really liked his in-between EP ... read more
this just works
everything about this album is immaculate. the features did their thing and talked their shit. lyricism on this project was insane and continues to cement Earl as the chief poet of our generation. another short release and yet still keeps the listener satisfied throughout its entirety. the PRODUCTION AND STYLISTIC CHOICES THOUGH HOLY SHIT. Earl basically managed to do everything and still have the entire LP sound like a whole cohesive project. venturing everywhere in genres ... read more
THIS IS SOOOOOO GOOD,Earl on SICK! kinda reminds me a lil bit of him in early 2010 s era +Na kel feature!!!!
Favorite tracks:2010,Lobby(int),God laughs,Titanic
What do you expect from an artist when they drop one of if not your favorite rap albums of all time?
After "Some Rap Songs", I honestly didn't know what to expect but honesty. That is the pedigree that Earl Sweatshirt has set for me more than anything. With the releases following that and now with this fully fledged out new project, I feel like Earl is coming into his own more than ever and delivering on that high bar of artistry and honesty in more ways than ever.
This may not match ... read more
Bru I was NOT expecting Earl to go over trap production. The thing I loved the most about this is how comfortable Earl sounds on this album. I know I'm gonna love this more with more listens

24 minutes of pure sincerity, without fear of expressing the true inner feeling. Alluding to Earl's comment when he announced the album "art imitates life", this is an ode to leisure, boredom, loneliness, and yes, to feeling sick.
Earl is one of the most powerful rappers of our time and I'm so glad that he is dropping after all this time. Sure he hasn't dropped in 3 years but let's take our time and talk about how underrated "Feet of Clay" was. Sure we all reacted to east in a strange observed fashion. But "El Toro combo meal" was a gold mine. Mavi and earl both snapped on this track. This shows how MF Doom was a crazy inspiration for a lot of people especially to my Boi here. I would kill if I could ... read more
This is my new favorite Earl project, it takes all the abstraction and cryptic lyrics of his previous albums but adds this new trap-influenced flair that actually somehow fits and makes the album just a little bit more accessible without streamlining it at all. Current AOTY as of writing.
Earl takes “some rap songs” and elaborates further on some of the albums best traits while sorta ignoring most of the small issues I had with the last album. The emotions on “SICK!” are in a weird way a lot more potent than on SRS, which keep in mind was one of the more depressing albums I had heard from 2018. Production on here was also really great on here, tracks like “Titanic” and “Tabula Rasa” are some extremely fun tracks because of how ... read more
Earl Sweatshirt is one of the most talented and unique artists of the last decade, and frankly, I don't give one if you disagree. On this project, Earl goes for a harder-hitting feel on tracks like "Titanic" and "Vision," which is something Earl isn't known for. Although I think the album could have used another feature or two, the two on the album wrap it together perfectly. On a different note, Earl on a trap beat is something I would've thought I needed in life, but here ... read more
