Justas good as his project w August fanon, "We Dressed the City with Our Names", and in many ways superior (better features and some of the tracks much more memorable); but there's just no comparison between Fanon and Messiah Musik.

I'd never heard of Messiah Musik before (even though he's worked with Armand Hammer and Mach-Hommy) but I love his dark, gloomy production style here, which somehow reminds me of electronic producer Amon Tobin. This is also a powerful statement from Defcee, whose delivery is consistently great, keeping up with the likes of Curly Castro and Armand Hammer.

Favourite Tracks: Rabbi And The Golem*, Pyramid Dust, Compassion, The Definition Of Insanity, Scapegrace (2013), Commute, Shortcuts
