Listening to the debut and honestly you're grateful they named the album 'Aerosmith' just to remind you that yes, this is they and not one of about two hundred other bands from the era who sounded almost identical.
Steven Tyler doesn't really sound like the frog mouthed champ we know and love from a hundred ill advised MTV videos. Nope, he sounds entirely like a 'meat and potatoes rock vocalist' on this one - he could be anyone, which is strange. Seriously, even listen to the big hit ballad ... read more
I wish Steven had personality on this record because it would automatically bump it up a significant amount.
Sadly, that is not the case.
Good debut!
A little primitive for Aerosmith but that's expected.
