As one of the main pioneers of "post-screamo", envy are truly one of the best post-hardcore bands from the past 20-25 years, and on A Dead Sinking Story, despite following the same formula for most of the time, the band manages to make each track cathartic and unique, with a sense of melancholy and hope that persists during the whole record.
