“LZ III” is a wonderful and diverse album, but by no means the band’s best or most consistent. Led Zeppelin were a machine; they put out some of the best music of their time back to back including 4 of the most influential rock albums in history in just a three year period. Their third effort, appropriately titled “Led Zeppelin III” (or simply “LZ III” for short) is the overall weakest album in their self titled album series, however is still an ... read more

Before I get into the review, let me give an NR review of reviewing. Writing down stuff to say about an album is super hard. I'll have my opinion formed, & I do have quite a bit to say, but articulating my thoughts is difficult to say the least. Especially because writing isn't my strong suit. At all. Led Zeppelin's 3rd self-titled album goes a bit underappreciated in their discography when compared to the big ones like 'Physical Graffiti' and the other 3 self-titled ones but to me it's one of the bands best outings. Amazing album with plenty of catchy and meaningful songs. One of my favorite albums from the band.Love the acoustic on this record.

On the album you still have your powerful rock anthems such as Immigrant Song and Celebration Day and blues songs such as the dense and dynamic Since i've been Loving You - but now we get introduced to sounds of folk on tracks such as (my favrouite) Gallows Pole and Freinds. Which the band execute fantastically. The album is also an improvement from other albums due to its ... read more

This is a pretty interesting Zeppelin album. The first half starts out as you'd expect, with Immigrant Song being a fast paced hard rock song that serves as a perfect start to the album. Then it shifts to Friends which has one of my favorite acoustic guitar parts that Jimmy Page ever wrote for the band. Celebration Day is good but is definitely a song I don't care for as much on this album. Then Since I've Been Loving You is probably the best blues jam the band has ever made. The last couple ... read more
