Really wanted to like it more. I mean... it's good. But still underwhelming. Muse are not and will never be the same as they were in the 2000's.
I wish the verses were better but the verses really drag this song. It's a shame because everything else goes hard, and 'you've used me for too long, now die alone' is one of the best lyrics I've heard come out of Matthew Bellamy's mouth.
I just really don't understand why the direction was reggae for the verse, in comparison to the metalcore chorus. It feels dissonantly bad. But yeah, this song is a guilty pleasure of mine — I just ignore the verses though.
