Accidental paragon of avant-garde masterclass.

Much like Tommy Wiseau's The Room, My Teenage Dream Ended really can't be enjoyed in a conventional sense.
Though there is entertainment value in watching or in this case, listening to someone obliviously release something that falls short of every note they attempted to hit.

If Farrah Abraham ever tried again to recapture this glory I would have no faith in her ability.
This is a surreal, bizarre, slip on a banana peel album-- but one that ... read more
Imagine that a girl was stuck in her room for 15 years and she could only listen to basic pop songs. Then , without the girl having any knowledge on production or singing, someone told her to make an album. This is it. It still manages to be more listenable and interesting than most pop songs today. But, if we think about it more deeply, isn't every other artform or piece of artistic expression also one of these fruits, as amorphous as it can sound or look or feel? This is the register of a troubled voice, and a victim ... read more
I can only put so much in a review…

Meaghan Garvey from Pitchfork was spot-on by essentially calling My Teenage Dream Ended a proto-Pop 2. (Pop 2, by the way, is one of my favorite pop albums of all time.) The project by Farrah Abraham and Fredrick M. Cuevas was panned by many when it came out, but certain listeners enjoyed it and took the perspective that this was an outsider pop gem rather than a really bad pop album. From the very first song, I knew that I would join the former ... read more
