The Young Folks
With eleven thoughtfully cohesive tracks, Maren Morris has yet to disappoint. They are tastefully written, melodically gripping, and certainly a step-up in comparison to her prior works of art.

Albumism

Humble Quest affirms that even with three major-label albums to her credit now, she’s still simply scratching the surface of what promises to be a remarkable career.

Entertainment Weekly

On her third studio album, the 14-time Grammy nominee effortlessly oscillates between haunting harmonies to whatever the female version of bro country is.

AllMusic

Humble Quest is a mature record in its approach in addition to its theme, a record that offers warm consolation in hours of trouble as well as breezy relaxation during the good times.

Pitchfork

In the end, Humble Quest lives up to its name: 11 lithe songs about love, work, and family, some great, some good, with a coherence and clarity that make it feel matter-of-factly masterful.

The Nashville pop star keeps searching, singing, “I still haven't found it yet,” but with this album, she's locked onto a strong statement, a declarative in the midst of a world of interrogatives.

Maren’s response to the huge success of the previous album’s cut “The Bones” is a genuine love letter to her trajectory thus far and what it may hold in the future. ‘Humble Quest’s rawness and crossover appeal makes it the best country album to come out in a while.

There isn't a bad song. Best country album of this year 100% and possibly album of the year. Quite reminiscent of Taylor Swift and that's another reason why I love it!

I knew Maren Morris from earlier singles and collaborations, but her 2019 album GIRL was my real introduction to her and I liked her easy going style and real ability to connect through her songs and now her her third album Humble Quest finds her improving on this in every way. Not only are these songs easy to like with their smooth and playful country pop sound and stellar vocals from Morris, but her stories about her relationships on “The Furthest Thing” & “Background ... read more
