Dr. Dre's debut studio album is filled with tons of classic bangers and still sounds pretty good to this day. Just like with 2001, I was a fan of the singles from this thing but this was the first time I've ever heard it in full and it's easily more consistent than 2001. While I feel there may be higher highs on 2001, this album is substantially more consistent and features some of Dre's best rapping and great performances from Snoop Dogg all around. Ahead of its time; Both in the fact that Nuthin' but a G thang still gets played and is one of hip hops greatest song, and the fact that they predicted Deez Nuts before it even happened. Legendary

But from personal preference, I just don't return to this album too much. Some great songs, some alright ones, still a classic though so you can't talk shit on it.


The album taken off of streaming services to promote an NFT is a classic that is made for all generations of hip-hop fans.
