Album #2 of my Yo La Tengo Discography Discovery series.

After listening to nothing but this LP for the past 24 hours or so, I think I'm ready to give it a score and a messy mini review. Hell. F**king. Yes. Yup this is better than "I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One". And I'm not just saying that because this album is significantly shorter and therefore more digestible/accessible. Damn. I've been missing out.
Gorgeous and powerful instrumentation, but lowkey where it needs to be. A grand statement that solidifies the greatness of 90's indie rock.

Favs: Nowhere near, Sudden Organ, From a Motel 6, I heard you looking, Double Dare, A worrying thing
Least fav: Big Day Coming
Yo La Tengo is supposed working for casual listening, but they do not. I tried to listen to Yo La Tengo while cooking, gaming, even jogging, and all their sounds left with me was a vague impression of mellow. But when listening to it with full attention before going to bed tonight, everything suddenly clicked.
