The Irish Times

This brilliant album sets them up for a thrilling future, where anything is possible.

80
DIY
For anyone who’s long fallen for the Derry native’s charms, third time’s a winner - for anyone who finds comfort in revelling in stripped-back melancholy, it’s a dream.
80
The Line of Best Fit

Complete with dreamy guitar bends, gorgeous harmonies, and a candid lyricism that Phoebe Bridgers would be proud of, If I Never Know You Like This Again has undoubtedly delivered a hat-trick for the Derry-born artist.

80
Dork
It has never been so easy to peer into a portrait of an individual’s mind. Don’t worry if the last few years seem hazy in retrospect, because this album will bring all the memories flooding back.
80
PopMatters
With the songs’ heart-on-their-sleeve lyrics and exuberant melodies, SOAK shows us that using uncomfortable past experiences for personal growth doesn’t have to be a drag. In fact, it can be a blast.
80
Gigwise
At times it slows perhaps that little too much, or the textures within each track don’t quite mesh, but regardless, SOAK has managed to capture the trials and tribulations of young life, and distilled the essence of life in their twenties to a tee.
75
Spectrum Culture

If I Never Know You Like This Again is a triumph of honest and vulnerable storytelling via song.

74
Paste
The indie-rock artist expands their sound via the brash and sprawling force of vulnerability.
70
Loud and Quiet

If I Never Know You Like This Again is a rewarding listen, dampened only by its occasionally faceless approach to the indie rock playbook.

70
AllMusic

If I Never Know You Like This Again feels like a post-catharsis moment of hanging out, talking into the late hours, and making music with friends.

60
Record Collector
For their third album, SOAK recorded live with their band, drawing on 90s indie rock to mixed effect.

Pretty uninspired and derivative of any other random indie rock record, SOAK's third album "If I Never Know You Like This Again" still provides strong vocal performances and well-done mixing.

It's not a gem but It's not bad either.
It's an alright and serviceable album.
