Ribbon Around The Bomb is mellower while maintaining a gift for melody. Blossoms move away from sweaty floorfillers with a natural grace.

Dork
While previous full-length ‘Foolish Loving Spaces’ might have felt like a lightspeed jump forwards, the self-assured comfort of ‘Ribbon Around The Bomb’ is arguably even more impressive.

Clash
The band's star continues to rise, and this album cements their reputation as one of the best bands in the UK.

Evening Standard
The title track is the strongest, strutting past on an easygoing bassline with much woo-ing in the backing vocals. They’re growing up, but haven’t lost sight of what makes them so appealing.

‘Ribbon Around The Bomb’ is a grand coming-of-age record. Featuring tight rhythms, compelling pop melodies and thoughtful lyrics, Blossoms signature chiming electric sound has developed in this mature record that puts song-writing at the forefront and solidifies their position as UK indie-pop icons.

Probably the best band the UK has to offer at this moment in time. Blossoms have perfected the chill, laid back rhythm which they made their name with which is present in upmost clarity towards the back end of the record with tracks such as Care For, Cinema Holy Days, Edith Machinist and Visions staking a claim to be some of my favourite tracks of the year so far.
