CRITIC REVIEWS

The Independent
Ezra’s third album delivers precisely the kind of easygoing, family-friendly happiness we’ve come to expect.
80
The Telegraph
At the heart of Ezra’s mainstream pop appeal is a sense of joy that infuses his music with radiant positivity. In such troubled times, Ezra’s escapism is pure gold.
80
The Observer
The Hertfordshire charmer returns with his customary peppy singles, along with some more thoughtful fare.
70
Gigwise

On the surface, you may see a run-of-the-mill pop singer whose sound hasn’t evolved much, but dig a little deeper and you’ll find a man trying to make sense of the world with his heart on his sleeve.

70
DIY

Another charming record that’s hard not to love.

60
The Guardian
The Budapest and Shotgun singer teeters between hook-laden and cheesy on his third album – though the best tracks reveal there’s more to Ezra than mere jollity.
60
NME

On his forthright third record, the Hertford singer-songwriter shows his talent at distilling complex situations into candid, affecting songs.

40
Evening Standard

Here it’s the songs that most faithfully stick to the feelgood formula that sound most like a struggle.

40
The Irish Times

Ezra’s voice remains the best thing about this endeavour, but it’s lost in far too much studio magic.

NO NUANCE REVIEW

On one hand, George Ezra is a joyful and sincere songwriter with a unique and beautiful voice and a lot of charm.

On another hand, *snooze*

So inoffensive I'm getting paranoid. I believe in feel-good music as much as I believe in feel-good movies, but as much as I hope that Ezra will find his Tiger Lily again and that she may even be the girl who will tell him to "come to bed now for heaven's sakes," I also believe that there's got to be more depth to a love album than this?

+ Nice voice
- Substance, George, substance.
