On this album Jim Croce talks like one of those cartoony southern comic book figures. It's such fun to have an album told from an exaggerated perspective like this - especially such a swinging piece of jiggity such as this. With his neutral pitched, southern dipped voice Jim guides us like a fun radio booth operator - boosting the same confidence and charm from minute one to the last song. [85.67] I think I accidentally put on his second album... anyway we shall listen. His guitar pop is pretty cool, and if it makes any sense I get the vibe he completely understood the sound of the time, but upon replicating it, he didn't really blow up at the time because people were into special experiments of music. I love the folk songs where he can just go off on that guitar, along with the production of strings sometimes. This is my type of John Denver.
