This is an album that I would love to love, but unfortunately I only like. I saw them open for Muna earlier this year, and they have an absolutely incredible stage presence that was consistently high energy throughout. I’d managed to listen to part of the album before that and I enjoyed it, but didn’t love it enough to continue. Today I finally decided to give it a full chance and listen to it from start to finish. I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest and did really enjoy ... read more
Nova Twins continue their assent with their second full length LP. Energy, swagger, explosiveness. i look forward to see whats still to come from this group. Special mention to the bass across this record which is superb.
NGL, this hits harder than I expected. I Went in with an open mind and I think this slaps. I love when a band blends so many different styles.
Standouts: Antagonist, Cleopatra, Choose Your Fighter, Sleep Paralysis

3. puzzles
4. antagonist
5. choose your fighter
Nova Twins delivered a fierce, bold and brash foray into their industrial, rap rock style. Some tracks absolutely smash the vibe out of the park for me, like Choose Your Fighter and Antagonist, whike K.M.B and Cleopatra are cool and unique; but maybe not all the way there. Overall, this album for me is a solid addition to my collection, and I can definitely see their growth leading to some stunning music in the future - maybe following a little more of a refinement to their songwriting process.
There are a couple Nova Twins tracks I really love, and a couple that just kind of miss the mark for me. Overall, a pretty good listening experience, but nothing outstanding. I do think Nova Twins is a really unique and creative band, and I wish I liked this more than I did.
The amount of distortion on the vocals and production tricks to make this album sound massive really dent it for me, I hope they go into a more alt-metal sound next time because I could imagine that working a lot better.
first off i'd like to say that most negative reviews i see here i think were due to the fact that the listener was not the intended audience at all. it's obvious that if you find this sound dated you will not like it.
moving on to the actual music, the album is mostly very fun to listen to, cringy lyrics and overcompressed production aside. i think this album is mostly hurt by the latter things i mentioned more than anything else, though the lyrics are not that much of a problem for me. the ... read more

I had such high hopes for this album, and by 30 seconds into the first song, I was let down immediately, the vocals are so irritating. The instrumentals are SO GOOD but the vocals just throw off the whole album, they're so annoying. All of the critics are praising it for the sole reason it's a female duo is what I feel like, just a tip, adding female vocals DOES NOT immediately make a rap rock album good, at all. This had potential for sure but it flunked big time. Not enjoyable at all. I ... read more
Unfortunately, not really memorable outside of a couple of songs. Got pretty bored halfway through until A Dark Place For Somewhere Beautiful came on.
Honestly, I had a lot of fun listening to this.

Hey critics, adding a few latin scales and female vocals to rap rock doesn't instantly make it good
The album has a lot of energy but a lot of the time it's too much, but sometimes it slips through and makes a solid song.
Amy Love and Georgia South proceed to the next level, prepared to add to their loud mixture as many ingredients as they can, creating a constant doubt (without any significance), whether it is pop-infused rock or the opposite?
I like some of the production of this album, but my god this is horrible. the vocals is off-putting to try to be edgy and it was terribly sqirmish. The lyrics is also edgy as well. What a slog to some of those tracks that have higher scores that doesn't fit for the enjoyment.
