Over three decades in the game, BODR is a monument to the longevity that raw talent and consistent work can afford.


I listened to this expecting something laughably bad - and also Snoop was fresh on the mind, y'know? He just bought the Death Row brand, gonna be in the Super Bowl this weekend. I stayed up.. on a total coincidence, totally not expecting another West Coaster to drop. But, I figured.. 53 minutes, not gonna kill me, right? Might be funny to make fun of mid-ass Snoop in 2022, haha.

wait, this was… good?!

So… Snoop bought the Death Row label/brand, just was on yesterdays super bowl show (they all killed it, btw) , AND Dropped an album 3 days ago. I found this album, looked at the coverart, looked at the features and songs, and immediately saved it on my library to listen to it. And I did, and HOLY FUCK THIS WAS ACTUALLY REALLY DAMN GREAT!!! This is surprisingly good. Snoop sounds great over some mostly solid production from the likes of Hit-Boy, DJ Battlecat, Nottz and Hi-Tek. The features (Nate Dogg, The Game, Wiz Khalifa, etc.) all did their jobs well although I do wish Nas had more of an appearance on 'Conflicted'. Also, 'Crip Ya Enthusiasm' has no right to be that good.
