I cant believe I sort of wrote this one off. The writing for a melodic hardcore album is some of the best I have ever heard. And it's short length means it is a ruthless album, I just wish it was longer.
First record I listened to on my new earbuds. Although I must be knowing every single note of it by now, No Control never ceases to amaze me. The definitive melodic hardcore album, with among the best and most thought provoking lyrics the genre has to offer.
To be honest, "punk rock", in my brazilian mind, sounds like the coolest music genre ever - even cooler than stuff like "heavy metal". Don't come at me thinking I knew what a "Shoegaze" or a "Glitch Hop" was before April, come on. This album, however, should be labeled as "Country Rock"! I swear, this is too vanilla!

This was a really fun and exciting punk rock record. It’s energetic and real and just speaks to me. I really got into punk lately and this just really sparked my love for the genre. I am excited to listen to their other records.
There are 3 Bad Religion albums (all released back to back) that come close to tying for their best work, but this one has to be the winner. It’s near perfect.
